Community Education’s Teen Angel Christmas assistance program.
The Christmas season is a magical time of year. It lends itself to thoughts of warm foods, family gatherings and twinkling lights on Christmas trees. While this is true for many people, Community Education and school employees see firsthand hundreds of students who have a very different reality. Teen Angel is a Christmas assistance program in Warren County that picks up where Angel Tree, a program designed to benefit kids up to the age of 12, leaves off. Brought to life in 2010 by the group “Vision”, Teen Angel collects money and gift cards that are used to purchase warm clothes and personal items that teens need to make it through the school year. The gifts are distributed to parents before the holiday, allowing them to provide for their student on Christmas day.

Fueled by the belief that every kid is worth investing in, Crocker Law Firm found a home with this program in the form of a matching partner. One day each year, a Teen Angel Donation Blast is held at Starbucks. During the blast, you can find Crocker Law Firm volunteers standing in the drive-thru collecting donations to fund the Teen Angel program. At the end of the day, the law firm matches the dollar amount of donations collected. With the match in 2017, the one-day event raised a total of $12,000, ensuring every teen on the program’s list was provided for.
The 2019 Teen Angel Donation Blast was Friday, December 6th at Bowling Green Starbucks locations on Scottsville Road and Campbell Lane. This year, thanks to your generosity, we raised $10,003.45. With the match from Crocker Law Firm, Teen Angel volunteers have $20,006.90 to help finish shopping for teens in need this Christmas. Thank you, and let’s do it again next year!
