American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life

For nearly a decade, The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life has been an event close to our hearts at Crocker Law Firm. Nearly everyone you meet has a connection to the deadly disease. This year alone the Cancer Statistic Center estimates nearly 26,000 new cancer diagnoses will be given in Kentucky. Think about that number too long, and it’s easy to feel defeated. That’s not what this story is about.

“Imagine a world free from cancer. Help make it a reality.” Those two sentences are a bold call-to-action made on the American Cancer Society’s website. Scrolling through patients’ stories, they start to resemble something more like a passionate plea, and one that has never felt more attainable than it does today.

For Warren County Relay for Life this year’s theme was heavily focused on the cancer survivors in our community, highlighting that more people are beating cancer today than ever before. Every inch of ground gained is largely thanks to supporters just like you who make a donation to someone’s Relay for Life Team, or attend a Relay fundraiser.

Each year at Relay for Life you will see hundreds of tents around Bowling Green High School’s track. You can find teams offering toys, jewelry, baked goods, games, face painting, and dozens of other creative, fun ways to support the cause.

Among the booths every year are two Crocker Law Firm tents. While we would love to claim our team is the one cooking the delicious barbeque, it’s really the members of 7th Street Baptist Church. We just lend a tent to these awesome people. Not only do they make delicious food, many of them are heavily involved in the planning process of Relay for Life, and directly tied to its success.

The Crocker Law Firm staff can be found further around the track, running a photo booth and handing out balloons. We would be thrilled to have you come by and see us.
